The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed agreements with five organisations to support startups across the country. The department inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Cashfree Payments, Darwin Dynamics, Vultr India, Cars24 and the Council for Startup India, an official statement said on Saturday.

The pacts cover payments, cloud infrastructure, clean energy, mentorship and global market access for DPIIT-recognised startups.

Payments support from Cashfree

Under the MoU with Cashfree Payments India, eligible startups will get access to secure and scalable payment and payout solutions. They will also receive identity verification and risk management services, along with preferential onboarding support and commercial benefits.

Cloud access through Vultr India

The collaboration with Vultr India is aimed at enhancing startups’ access to cloud computing resources. It will support technical capacity-building and digital infrastructure, enabling startups to build, scale and innovate more efficiently.

Cars24 to mentor founders

The MoU with Cars24 will provide structured mentorship to startup founders. It will promote mobility and autotech skilling programmes, facilitate AI-focused technology enablement, and organise innovation challenges and hackathons.

Global market access with Council for Startup India

DPIIT also signed an MoU with the Council for Startup India (CSI) to strengthen support for DPIIT-recognised startups. The pact focuses on facilitating access to investment, strategic partnerships, mentorship, leadership development and global markets.

What it means

The agreements bring together private sector capabilities with government backing for the startup ecosystem. Startups can now tap into payments, cloud, skilling and mentorship support under one umbrella, which should help early-stage founders cut costs and scale faster.
