How Mesa School of Business Teaches

Mesa School of Business runs residential programmes built around doing real work. Every student builds and runs a small business. Every student also learns to use AI to build and launch a tech product.

The school says more than 100 founders have taught on campus. Students have worked on over 200 projects with startups.

Mesa School of Business has grown from a single postgraduate cohort to more than 550 students in three years. It runs three programmes. The first is a one-year Post Graduate Programme in Startup Leadership.

The second is a four-year undergraduate programme in business and entrepreneurship. The third is Forge, a one-year programme for fresh graduates.

Who Is Behind Mesa School of Business

Mesa School of Business was founded in 2023 by Ankit Agarwal and Varun Limaye. The school is also backed by founders such as Kunal Shah of CRED and Vidit Aatrey of Meesho. Abhiraj Bhal of Urban Company and Vijay Shekhar Sharma of Paytm are investors too.

Ankit Agarwal said the school’s tenets have not changed as it grows. Every student builds something real, and every student learns new age skills and AI. Founders are always in the room to give feedback, he said.

Vamsi Duvvuri is Founder and Managing Partner at Dharana Capital. He said modern tech has exposed a disconnect in higher education, with students feeling unprepared and companies unable to find job-ready talent. Mesa School of Business is trying to close that gap, he said.

What Comes Next

The bet is that business education has to change with the tools. Mesa School of Business is not selling access to a campus or a brand. It is selling the claim that students leave able to build and ship.

That claim is what the new money has to prove at scale. With over 550 students and three programmes running, the next phase is about whether the model holds as cohorts get bigger.

Dharana Capital also led a USD 10 million Series A in Clueso this week. That shows the fund is active across both education and AI tooling.
