Cradlewise has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round led by 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management, taking its total funding to $26 million.

The AI-first consumer tech company makes smart cribs designed to soothe babies and help improve family sleep. The round is backed by Sean O’Sullivan Ventures, Footwork VC and Charles River Ventures, apart from the two lead investors.

Smart cribs that predict wake-ups

Cradlewise’s AI-enabled cribs use sensors to track movement, sound, sleep state and other contextual signals. Its system uses this data to predict when a baby is likely to wake up and intervene before the baby fully wakes.

The company claims its technology can save parents up to two hours of effort each day. It holds patents covering its hardware and sensing systems, and says its models are trained on more than 75 million hours of sleep data.

Made in Pune

Cradlewise operates an integrated manufacturing facility in Pune that can produce, test and pack thousands of cribs each month. This gives the company greater control over quality, product development and costs.

The smart sleep system combines a crib, contactless monitoring, adaptive motion and a connected app to detect early signs of stirring and help babies settle before fully waking.

Founded by a husband-wife duo

Cradlewise was founded in 2019 by Radhika Patil and Bharath Patil. The company will use the fresh capital for growth, channel expansion, product R&D and geographic expansion.

It is targeting the growing intersection of consumer technology, AI and parenting, with products aimed at addressing challenges around infant sleep and parental fatigue.

Sleep tech for new parents

Sleep deprivation is one of the biggest struggles for new parents, and Cradlewise is attacking the problem with technology rather than guesswork. Its crib learns each baby’s sleep pattern and responds automatically, cutting the need for parents to wake up and intervene.

The company says its models are trained on more than 75 million hours of sleep data, giving it an edge in understanding how babies sleep across different homes and routines. With integrated manufacturing in Pune and a product aimed at families who spend on premium baby care, Cradlewise is betting that tired parents will pay for better sleep.

The fresh capital will help the company scale production, enter new geographies and keep improving its AI, as it looks to become a bigger name in the global parenting-tech market.
