Any parent who has chased a diagnosis for their child across three different clinics knows the exhaustion. One place tests, another prescribes therapy, a third runs the school – and none of them talk to each other. Butterfly Learnings was built to own that whole journey.

The Mumbai-based paediatric behavioural health platform has raised Rs 65 crore in a pre-Series B round led by Inflexor Ventures from its Fund III. Existing backers Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund and IIMA Ventures also joined. The startup founded by Sonam Kothari and Abhishek Sen in 2021 runs more than 75 centres with a network of 400-plus therapists and specialists.

Revenue crosses Rs 15 crore in FY25

Revenue jumped 143.7 percent to Rs 15.5 crore in FY25 from Rs 6.3 crore a year earlier. Net loss stood at Rs 13.3 crore. The fresh capital will fund centre expansion across India, stronger AI and digital tools, and wider deployment of Get SET Early – an eye-tracking autism screening tool approved for children aged 12 to 48 months. Therapist training programmes will also scale.

What lies ahead

This follows a Rs 32 crore Series A in 2024 led by Insitor Impact Asia Fund II and Enzia Ventures. Pratip Mazumdar, partner at Inflexor Ventures, said Dr Sonam Kothari brings rare clinical depth with operating experience while Dr Abhishek Sen turns that insight into a scalable business.

Why it matters

India has millions of neurodivergent children but fragmented care leaves most families stranded. A platform that stitches diagnosis, therapy and schooling into one accountable chain could finally close that gap. Butterfly’s standardised protocols and clinical data layer are the real differentiator – not just more centres. If the model holds, it becomes a template for specialty healthcare where fragmentation is the default.
