India’s healthtech sector continues to attract strong investor interest, especially in the preventive healthcare space. Paincare startup Betterhood has raised Rs 5 crore in a seed funding round led by Kairon Capital, with participation from several well-known angel investors. The fresh capital will help the startup strengthen its preventive paincare platform and expand its services across India.

Betterhood is focused on helping individuals manage and prevent chronic pain through structured and science-backed programs. With modern lifestyles becoming increasingly sedentary, issues such as back pain, neck pain, and joint discomfort have become common among working professionals. The startup aims to address these problems through early intervention and long-term preventive care.

Funding to Support Growth and Technology Development

The seed round was led by venture capital firm Kairon Capital and also saw participation from angel investors including Yogesh Kabra, founder of XYXX, Rishubh Satiya from Plix, Rohit Chawla and Sifat Khurana of Innovist, along with sports scientist and performance coach Shayamal Vallabhjee.

Betterhood plans to use the newly raised funds to improve its technology platform, expand its preventive healthcare programs, and reach a wider audience across the country. The startup is also focusing on building a research-driven paincare model that combines medical expertise with digital tools.

Building a Preventive Approach to Pain Management

Unlike traditional treatments that mainly focus on providing relief after pain occurs, Betterhood is building a preventive paincare model. Its programs combine physiotherapy, movement science, and lifestyle changes to help individuals identify and correct the root causes of pain.

The startup aims to offer personalised paincare solutions through its digital platform, enabling users to access professional guidance and structured programs from anywhere. This approach focuses on long-term improvement rather than short-term pain relief.

With increasing awareness about preventive health and wellness in India, Betterhood is positioning itself as a solution-driven platform for chronic pain management. The fresh funding is expected to help the company scale its operations and make preventive paincare more accessible to people across the country.
