Bengaluru-based startup Vobiz has raised $1 million in a seed funding round led by Piper Serica VC Fund. The company was founded in 2025 by Suman Gandham and Vikash Srivastava. It is focused on building a modern telephony system designed for AI-powered voice calls.

The fresh funding will be used to grow its engineering team and expand its market reach. Vobiz is aiming to reach $5 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by FY27, showing its strong growth plans in the coming years.

Solving Problems in AI Voice Communication

Vobiz is trying to fix a major issue in the telecom space—slow response times and complex compliance rules that affect AI voice calls. Its platform is built to deliver very fast performance, with less than 80 milliseconds delay, making conversations smoother and more natural.

Developers can use Vobiz through SIP calling or WebSocket streaming, depending on their needs. The platform also provides phone numbers in more than 50 countries, including India’s regulated business and transactional numbers.

It offers useful features like call recording, real-time sentiment analysis, text-to-speech in multiple languages, and easy call transfers. Vobiz also supports WhatsApp Business API, helping companies manage both calls and messages from one platform.

Affordable Pricing with Indian Focus

One of the biggest advantages of Vobiz is its India-focused pricing. Unlike global companies like Twilio, Vobiz charges in Indian Rupees, which helps businesses avoid currency risks and claim GST benefits. The company charges ₹0.45 per minute for regular calls and ₹0.65 for streaming calls. It also offers a free trial with basic credits, so startups can test the platform easily.

Vobiz follows all rules set by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, including DLT registration requirements. It also meets global security standards like GDPR and ISO certifications to protect user data.

In the coming months, the startup plans to improve its technology, expand partnerships with telecom providers, and launch better tools for businesses. With the rise of AI-based communication, Vobiz is aiming to become a key player in India’s telecom future.
