India-based legal tech startup Jurisphere has raised $2.2 million (around ₹21 crore) in a seed funding round led by Info Edge Ventures. Other investors in the round include Flourish Ventures, Antler, and 8i Ventures.
The company plans to use the fresh funds to grow its platform globally and build a large network of AI-powered lawyers. Investors believe Jurisphere is solving a real problem by combining technology with human legal expertise.
Mix of AI and Human Lawyers
Founded in 2024 by Manas Khandelwal, Varun Khandelwal, and Sumit Ghosh, Jurisphere follows a different approach compared to typical legal software tools. The company realised that only using AI is not enough, so it built a system that combines AI tools with real lawyers.
The platform has a network of over 100 lawyers, including US-qualified attorneys, who review all documents before they are delivered to clients. Users can upload contracts through email, Slack, or the platform, get a fixed price in advance, and receive reviewed documents within a few hours. This model removes the need for hourly billing and makes legal services faster and more predictable.
Strong Technology With Useful Features
Jurisphere runs on its own AI models trained on more than 7.5 lakh legal documents. These tools can analyse contracts, do legal research, translate documents, and create timelines quickly.

It also works smoothly with tools like Microsoft Word, Slack, and email, making it easy for companies to use. Features like document scanning, automated data extraction, and multi-document review help reduce manual work. The company also focuses on data safety with high-level security standards and encryption.
Growing Clients and Future Plans
Jurisphere says it has already processed over 12 million documents and works with more than 500 business clients, including banks, law firms, and companies. It claims users save over 30 hours every month by using its platform.
The startup has also partnered with several well-known law firms in India. As competition increases in the legal tech space, Jurisphere is aiming to stand out by combining fast AI tools with expert human review.
