Mumbai-based urban wellness startup Dhun Wellness has raised $4 million (approximately ₹36.6 crore) in a fresh funding round, signalling strong investor confidence in India’s fast-evolving wellness ecosystem. The round was co-led by SRF Ltd and Havells India, alongside participation from several Indian family offices and well-known angel investors.

The latest capital infusion is expected to strengthen Dhun Wellness’ ambition of building a premium, science-backed urban wellness brand tailored for modern Indian lifestyles. Founded in 2023 by entrepreneur Mira Kapoor, the company is positioning itself at the intersection of traditional Indian healing wisdom and contemporary wellness science.

A Modern Take on Holistic Wellness

Dhun Wellness has carved a niche by offering curated wellness programmes that combine ancient practices such as Ayurveda, sound therapy, and mindful nutrition with modern interventions including cryotherapy, infrared sauna treatments, and recovery-focused therapies. The brand focuses on addressing everyday urban health concerns such as chronic stress, sleep imbalance, low energy, digestive issues, and lifestyle-related fatigue.

Its flagship centre in Bandra, Mumbai, spans over 6,000 square feet and has been designed as a calm, immersive wellness sanctuary within the city. Visitors are guided through personalised health journeys that typically include expert consultations, diagnostic assessments, structured multi-day programmes, and continuous support through a concierge-led experience. The startup has witnessed growing traction since launch, with steady month-on-month demand reflecting rising interest in preventive and lifestyle-focused healthcare.

Funding to Drive Multi-City Expansion

The newly raised funds will primarily be used to scale Dhun Wellness’ physical presence across key Indian metropolitan cities. The company plans to open its next flagship centre in Delhi, followed by expansion into cities such as Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. These markets have shown increasing demand for premium wellness and lifestyle services driven by higher disposable incomes and growing health awareness among urban consumers.

In addition to geographical expansion, Dhun Wellness intends to invest in strengthening its internal capabilities, including hiring wellness experts, therapists, and operational talent. A portion of the funding will also be channelled towards building a dedicated longevity and preventive care vertical, focusing on long-term health optimisation rather than short-term treatment.

Strategic Backing from Established Corporates

The participation of established Indian corporates such as SRF Ltd and Havells India adds strategic weight to the funding round. Their involvement reflects a broader trend of traditional Indian companies backing emerging consumer and lifestyle brands that align with changing urban aspirations. Industry observers see this as a vote of confidence not just in Dhun Wellness’ business model, but also in the long-term potential of the organised wellness sector in India.

Riding India’s Wellness Boom

India’s wellness industry is witnessing rapid growth as consumers increasingly prioritise mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Preventive health, holistic care, and personalised wellness experiences are gradually moving from niche offerings to mainstream lifestyle choices. Startups like Dhun Wellness are tapping into this shift by offering structured, premium experiences rooted in both cultural relevance and scientific credibility.

With fresh capital in hand and a clear expansion roadmap, Dhun Wellness is aiming to build a nationally recognised wellness brand that caters to India’s urban population. As awareness around long-term health continues to grow, the company’s integrated approach could place it at the forefront of India’s next phase of wellness innovation.
