AstroTalk has marked a major growth milestone as its e-commerce vertical reported ₹140 crore in revenue during 2025, barely months after its official launch in November 2024. The spiritual products business has already reached an annualised run rate (ARR) of around ₹200 crore, reflecting strong consumer demand and rapid scaling within a short time frame.

The development highlights AstroTalk’s successful expansion beyond online astrology consultations into the growing spiritual and religious products market in India.

AstroTalk’s Strong Early Momentum After November Launch

AstroTalk entered the e-commerce segment with a clear strategy: monetise the growing demand for spiritual products that users were already enquiring about during astrology consultations. Items such as gemstones, rudraksha beads, yantras, puja kits, bracelets, and idols were frequently recommended by astrologers, creating a natural extension for commerce.

What began as a small internal experiment with an initial investment of just ₹30 lakh soon showed promise. Encouraged by strong traction, customer trust, and consistent order flow, the company scaled the vertical aggressively with an additional ₹40 crore investment to strengthen supply chains, inventory management, technology, and marketing operations.

Within 2025 alone, AstroTalk’s e-commerce arm processed over 1.6 million orders, underlining robust demand and healthy consumer adoption.

Expanding Product Portfolio and Repeat Purchases

Currently, AstroTalk’s e-commerce platform offers more than 300 spiritual products, catering to diverse religious and astrological needs. The company plans to significantly widen this range by introducing 500+ additional products by FY27, with a strong focus on items that encourage repeat purchases.

A key strength of the platform has been its repeat purchase rate of around 24%, indicating growing customer trust in product authenticity and quality. This repeat behaviour is critical in a segment traditionally dominated by unorganised sellers, where credibility often remains a concern.

AstroTalk is also seeing rising demand from Tier II and Tier III cities, which are expected to contribute nearly half of the platform’s future sales as spiritual consumption increasingly moves online across Bharat.

Ambitious Growth Target for FY27

Buoyed by early success, the company has outlined ambitious goals for its e-commerce vertical. AstroTalk is targeting ₹400–500 crore ARR by FY27, driven by category expansion, wider geographic reach, improved logistics, and deeper integration with its consultation platform.

The long-term strategy involves building a trusted, standardised destination for spiritual shopping, supported by astrologer-backed recommendations and transparent sourcing.

Core Astrology Business Continues to Grow

While e-commerce is emerging as a strong revenue contributor, AstroTalk’s core astrology consultation business continues to scale rapidly. For the financial year ending March 2025, the company’s overall revenue crossed ₹1,176 crore, up significantly from the previous year, reflecting higher user engagement and monetisation.

The integration of personalised consultations with product commerce has helped AstroTalk unlock new revenue streams while enhancing user value. Customers now receive end-to-end solutions — from guidance to verified products — within a single ecosystem.

Organising India’s Spiritual Commerce Market

AstroTalk’s rapid e-commerce growth signals a larger shift in how India’s spiritual economy is evolving. By combining trust, technology, and scale, the company aims to organise a highly fragmented market and set benchmarks for quality and transparency.

With strong early numbers, ambitious targets, and a growing user base across urban and non-metro regions, AstroTalk’s e-commerce vertical is fast emerging as a key pillar of its next growth phase.
