Homegrown sneaker brand Gully Labs has raised ₹30 crore in a Series A funding round, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey. The round was led by Saama Capital, with participation from existing investor Zeropearl VC, reaffirming strong investor confidence in the brand’s vision and execution. The fresh capital will primarily be used to strengthen the company’s offline retail presence and expand its product portfolio across key markets.

Founded in 2023 by Arjun Singh and Animesh Mishra, Gully Labs has quickly emerged as a promising name in India’s premium sneaker and streetwear space. The brand draws inspiration from Indian culture, art, and street aesthetics, positioning itself as a bold alternative to international sneaker labels while catering to the country’s young and fashion-conscious audience.

Strong Investor Support Fuels Expansion Plans

This Series A round reflects growing investor interest in consumer-focused brands that successfully blend design, storytelling, and community-driven marketing. Saama Capital’s leadership in the round highlights its belief in Gully Labs’ long-term growth potential and scalable business model. Zeropearl VC, which had backed the company during its seed stage, also participated in the latest round, contributing more than its pro-rata share.

In addition to institutional backing, the funding round saw participation from several angel investors with experience across consumer brands and technology-enabled ventures. The continued support from early backers’ signals confidence in Gully Labs’ strategy, execution, and ability to stand out in an increasingly competitive footwear market.

Focus on Offline Stores and Omni-Channel Growth

A key portion of the newly raised funds will be deployed towards expanding Gully Labs’ physical retail footprint across major Indian cities. While the brand initially scaled through a direct-to-consumer online model, it is now placing strong emphasis on offline stores to offer customers a more immersive brand experience.

Physical stores allow consumers to interact directly with the products, understand craftsmanship, and connect with the brand story — an important factor in premium footwear purchases. The company plans to open new retail locations while also strengthening distribution through multi-brand outlets.

Alongside offline growth, Gully Labs intends to enhance its online presence and build a seamless omni-channel shopping experience. Investments will also be directed toward marketing, community engagement, and talent acquisition.

Growing Revenue and Global Aspirations

Since its seed funding earlier in the year, Gully Labs has recorded steady growth, achieving approximately ₹30 crore in annualised revenue. The company has already built a loyal customer base and established operations in multiple cities, demonstrating strong early traction for a relatively young brand.

Looking ahead, Gully Labs aims to significantly scale its revenue and has set an ambitious target of reaching ₹100 crore in annualised revenue in the near future. Beyond India, the brand is also exploring opportunities in international markets such as the US and the UK, where demand for culturally distinctive lifestyle brands is rising.

As Indian consumers increasingly embrace premium homegrown brands, Gully Labs appears well-positioned to capitalise on this shift. With fresh capital, a clear offline strategy, and strong investor backing, the sneaker brand is poised to accelerate its journey from a fast-growing startup to a recognised name in the global streetwear landscape.
