Women’s wellness brand Nua has raised $50 million in a Series C funding round led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital, with participation from existing investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures.
The Mumbai-based company’s round includes both primary capital and a secondary component, giving partial exits to Kae Capital, Lightbox VC and existing angel investors. Nua has raised around $71.5 million so far, including $4 million (Rs 35 crore) in a pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust in February 2025.
Second-largest online player
According to Peak XV, Nua has emerged as the second-largest online player in the women’s wellness category. Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran, the company offers products across period care, maternity care and everyday intimate wellness.

Beyond physical products
Nua has expanded beyond physical products with offerings such as the Nua Period Tracker App and SecretKeeper chat. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen brand building, expand distribution and reach, and invest in R&D and new product development.
The company plans to deepen its presence across women’s wellness and build a broader portfolio of products and digital services around the evolving needs of women and girls.
Among the largest deals in the category
Nua’s $50 million round makes it one of India’s largest women’s hygiene startup deals, surpassing Pee Safe’s $32 million round in January this year. Nua competes with Whisper, Stayfree and Sofy in the broader feminine care space.
A category finding its feet
India’s women’s wellness market is growing quickly as more women move from basic sanitary products to brands that offer comfort, education and digital tools. Online-first names like Nua are riding this shift with better products and a stronger brand connect.
Nua’s jump from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore in annualised revenue run rate in two years shows how fast the category can scale. The company says it remains profitable even while investing in new products and reach, an unusual combination for a consumer brand at this stage.
With the fresh money, Nua plans to widen its retail presence, deepen digital services and build a portfolio that goes beyond period care into the broader wellness needs of women across the country.
