UniqYou has raised Rs 15.8 crore in a seed round led by Arkam Ventures and Antler. The deal comes weeks after reports said the D2C fashion startup was looking to raise a smaller cheque. A long list of angel investors also joined in. The round values the Bengaluru-based company at around Rs 64 crore, or roughly $6.8 million, after the money.

How the round was structured

The board at UniqYou approved the issuance of 37,487 compulsorily convertible preference shares. The issue price was Rs 4,215 per share. That is how the Rs 15.8 crore was raised, according to regulatory filings.

Arkam Ventures put in Rs 9.3 crore, the largest cheque of the round. Antler followed with Rs 4.96 crore. Ankit Garg invested Rs 1 crore. Abhishek Goyal, Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Raveen Sastry and Nandita Sinha also participated.

What the cap table looks like now

After the allotment, Arkam Ventures holds 14.93% of UniqYou. Antler owns 7.96%. Abhishek Goyal holds 1.59% and Chaitanya Ramalingegowda 0.24%. A Moneycontrol report had earlier said the startup was in talks to raise around Rs 12 crore, or $1.3 million. The final round came in larger than that.

Cash for working capital

The fresh proceeds will be used to meet the company’s working capital needs and general corporate purposes, the filings show. UniqYou was founded in 2026 and is based in Bengaluru. It works on women’s fashion. The company is building a technology led platform that uses AI to spot emerging fashion trends and offer relevant products to shoppers.

Why it matters

Fashion is one of the hardest categories for a new D2C brand. Customers buy on look and fit, and both are expensive to get right. Inventory has to be built before a single rupee comes back, and returns quietly eat margins. A seed round of this size, at almost Rs 64 crore of valuation, tells you investors are still willing to bet on a new label. The test for UniqYou starts now, with stock in the warehouse and a customer who has plenty of other brands to choose from.
