Vadodara-based electric mobility startup BillionE Mobility has raised $25 million (around ₹207 crore) in a growth funding round to accelerate the deployment of electric trucks across key industrial corridors in India. The fresh capital highlights growing investor confidence in sustainable logistics solutions and signals increasing momentum in India’s electric commercial vehicle segment.

The funding round includes a combination of equity and debt and was backed by leading financial institutions, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals with a strong focus on clean energy and infrastructure development. This infusion is expected to strengthen BillionE’s position as a full-stack electric mobility service provider for commercial logistics.

Expanding Electric Truck Fleets at Scale

With the newly raised capital, BillionE Mobility plans to deploy over 500 electric trucks by the end of FY 2026-27. These electric heavy-duty vehicles will be rolled out across major industrial and logistics corridors, catering to sectors such as cement, steel, FMCG, automotive, and e-commerce.

The company follows an electric mobility-as-a-service (eMaaS) model, allowing enterprise customers to shift to electric trucks without bearing upfront ownership costs. This approach helps logistics and manufacturing companies reduce emissions while maintaining cost efficiency and operational reliability.

Building a Robust EV Logistics Ecosystem

Founded in 2021, BillionE Mobility offers an integrated platform that goes beyond vehicle deployment. The startup focuses on charging infrastructure development, fleet management, telematics, and data-driven optimisation, which are essential for the large-scale adoption of electric trucks.

Over the past few years, BillionE has built a strong order pipeline with long-term contracts for hundreds of electric trucks, especially for medium and heavy-duty freight applications. This reflects growing demand from enterprises looking to decarbonise their supply chains while meeting sustainability commitments.

Riding the Policy Push for Electric Freight

BillionE’s funding comes at a time when the Indian government is actively promoting electric mobility through targeted incentives and policy support. Government initiatives aimed at encouraging electric freight movement are helping reduce adoption barriers for EV trucks, particularly in inter-city and industrial logistics.

Industry experts believe that such measures, combined with private capital, could play a critical role in transforming India’s trucking ecosystem, which currently contributes significantly to carbon emissions and fuel consumption.

Strengthening Presence Across Industrial Corridors

Looking ahead, BillionE Mobility plans to expand its footprint across major industrial regions in western, northern, and southern India. The company aims to work closely with fleet operators, large enterprises, and infrastructure partners to ensure seamless EV truck operations.

BillionE’s leadership believes that electric trucks will be central to India’s clean mobility transition, especially as businesses increasingly prioritise sustainability and cost efficiency. With rising fuel costs and stricter environmental norms, electric freight solutions are expected to see rapid adoption in the coming years.

The $25 million funding round places BillionE Mobility on a strong growth trajectory while reinforcing the broader shift towards greener, technology-driven logistics solutions in India.
