Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup Ctruh, pronounced “see-through,” has raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round to expand its presence in the spatial computing space. Founded by Vinay Agastya in 2022, the company is working to make 3D and extended reality (XR) experiences simple, affordable, and accessible for businesses.
The funding round was led by Inflection Point Ventures, with Avinya Ventures as co-lead. Other investors include India Accelerator, Founder’s Avenue, Anthill Ventures, Finvolve, LVX, and angel investors like Vivek Sinha and Shivakumar Ganesan. With this, Ctruh has raised a total of $4.5 million so far.

Making 3D and XR easy for businesses
Ctruh is trying to solve a major problem in online shopping — customers cannot fully experience products before buying. To fix this, the company has built a browser-based 3D engine that works without app downloads or expensive devices. It also offers VersaAI, a tool that turns images, text, and videos into 3D content within minutes. Its main platform, Commverse Studio, helps brands create virtual stores, 3D product views, and AR try-on experiences quickly and easily.
According to the company, businesses using its platform have seen up to 90% higher conversions, fewer product returns, and better customer engagement compared to normal 2D shopping experiences.
Plans for growth and global expansion
Ctruh plans to use the new funds to improve its technology and build better products, especially for industries like real estate and automotive. The startup also plans to expand globally, with sales operations expected to begin in the US and UAE by 2026.
The company already has support from major tech players like Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA, and AWS, which adds to its credibility in the XR space.
Shark Tank India boost and future outlook
Ctruh recently appeared on Shark Tank India Season 5, where founder Vinay Agastya pitched the business. While some investors were unsure, Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh invested ₹1 crore for 2.4% equity, subject to due diligence.
The startup is already working with over 100 brands across sectors like retail, e-commerce, real estate, and education. With fresh funding and growing demand, Ctruh is now aiming to take its 3D and XR solutions to a global market.
