India’s spacetech sector continues to gain momentum as Bellatrix Aerospace gears up to raise ₹107 crore in a fresh funding round. The Bengaluru-based startup is reportedly securing this investment at a significantly higher valuation, signalling strong investor confidence in India’s deep-tech ecosystem.
Strong Investor Participation
As per regulatory filings, the company’s board has approved the issuance of equity shares and Series B preference shares to facilitate the fundraise. The round is expected to see participation from both new and existing investors, reflecting sustained interest in the startup’s long-term growth potential.
Cactus Partners Fund is likely to lead the round with an investment of ₹28.5 crore, followed by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures contributing ₹25 crore. Other investors such as GrowX Ventures and 35 North India Growth are also expected to participate. This mix of investors highlights increasing confidence in India’s private spacetech capabilities, especially in advanced propulsion systems.
Valuation Sees Sharp Surge
One of the key highlights of this round is the sharp rise in valuation. Bellatrix Aerospace is expected to touch a post-money valuation of around ₹870 crore, marking a 2.7X jump compared to its previous funding round.
This surge reflects a broader trend where investors are increasingly backing startups working on complex, high-impact technologies. The growth also underlines the rising importance of private players in India’s evolving space economy.
Focus on Propulsion Technology
Bellatrix Aerospace specialises in developing propulsion systems for satellites, a critical component in modern space missions. Its solutions aim to support both small satellite launches and the efficient movement of larger satellites in orbit.
With global demand for satellite-based services expanding rapidly, the company’s technology is well-positioned to play a vital role in the future of space infrastructure.
Growth Outlook
While still in its early commercial phase, the startup is steadily building its business. It reported revenue of ₹1.75 crore alongside losses of ₹25.27 crore, largely due to ongoing investments in research and development.
Overall, this funding round marks a significant milestone for Bellatrix Aerospace and reinforces India’s position as a growing hub for spacetech innovation.
