Ahmedabad-based engineering firm Bacancy Systems has secured Rs 40 crore in a Series A funding round led by Sabre Partners and Greenstone Capital. This marks a key growth milestone for the company as it strengthens its presence in India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility and industrial technology sectors.
The funding reflects rising investor confidence in Indian deeptech startups that are building specialised solutions for emerging industries such as electric vehicles (EVs), railway electronics, and automation.
Expansion Plans and R&D Focus
Bacancy Systems plans to utilise the fresh capital to expand its manufacturing capabilities and accelerate product innovation. A major portion of the funds will be directed towards strengthening research and development (R&D), enabling the company to build next-generation engineering solutions.
The company is also preparing to scale its global footprint by entering new international markets. Additionally, it aims to hire skilled professionals across engineering, AI, and digital domains to support its expansion journey.
Strengthening EV and Railway Solutions
Founded by Binal Patel along with Krunal Patel and Hardik Sheth, Bacancy Systems focuses on embedded electronics and power systems.
The company develops critical EV infrastructure technologies, including DC charger controllers and power electronics. It is also expanding into railway electronics with solutions such as train control systems, passenger information systems, and converter technologies.
This dual focus positions Bacancy at the centre of two high-growth sectors in India—EV adoption and railway modernisation—both backed by strong government support.
Growing Role in Digital Engineering
Beyond hardware, Bacancy Systems offers product engineering and IT services, including cloud computing, data analytics, and enterprise digital transformation. Its diverse client base spans industries like fintech, healthcare, SaaS, and e-commerce, with a presence across North America, Europe, and Asia.
With global demand for digital transformation rising, Bacancy’s integrated hardware-software capabilities give it a competitive advantage. The company aims to leverage this momentum to scale operations and drive innovation aligned with India’s “Make in India” vision.
