Zerodha US stocks investing is now live on the company’s Kite platform. Eligible investors can buy American shares and ETFs from the same account they use for Indian markets. The Zerodha US stocks offering covers about 2,000 listed companies and around 1,000 exchange-traded funds.
Fractional investing starts at $1, so a buyer does not need a full share price to enter. For Zerodha US stocks, resident Indian individuals can switch on the international segment without opening a separate demat account. Non-resident Indians, joint account holders and non-individual entities cannot buy Zerodha US stocks.

How Zerodha US Stocks Are Routed
The orders travel through BSE-owned India INX Global Access at the International Financial Services Centre in GIFT City. Zerodha’s investing guide names ViewTrade as its US brokerage partner. Zerodha US stocks are held with the overseas broker, not in an Indian demat account.
What Zerodha US Stocks Cost
Zerodha charges 0.1% brokerage on the transaction value. The fee has a floor of $0.01 and a cap of $10 per executed order, and applies to both buys and sells. GST of 18% is charged on the brokerage. A $20,000 trade therefore pays $10 instead of $20.
Currency conversion adds to the cost. Zerodha says it has negotiated a bank markup of 0.5% over the RBI reference rate. Banks may also levy remittance charges and taxes. Rival Groww charges 0.1% with a $1 minimum and no published cap.
How Investors Can Buy
Investors in Zerodha US stocks move money from a linked Indian bank account into a dollar-denominated Global wallet through netbanking. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and IDFC FIRST Bank are supported. UPI, debit cards and credit cards are not accepted.
The first transfer must be at least $50, and later transfers need at least $100. Only delivery-based buying is allowed, with market and limit orders. Intraday trading, margin trading, derivatives and applications for US IPOs are not supported. ETFs must hold more than $250 million in assets, and Bitcoin or leveraged ETFs are excluded.
What Is Next For Zerodha US Stocks
Overseas investing runs under the RBI’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme, which allows $250,000 per financial year per resident. Tax collected at source and foreign asset disclosure rules also apply. Zerodha now competes with Groww, Upstox, INDmoney and HDFC Securities in this market. Interest in US tech names has grown since SpaceX listed on Nasdaq in June 2026.
