Ola Electric has made major headlines on August 15, 2025, by launching new electric scooters and announcing big price cuts on its popular models. This special announcement came at the much-awaited Sankalp 2025 event at Ola’s Gigafactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The latest moves aim to make electric vehicles more affordable and advanced for Indian customers.
Latest Scooters with Advanced Battery Tech
Ola has introduced the new S1 Pro+ scooter. It comes powered by Ola’s first 4680 Bharat cell battery, developed in-house. The S1 Pro+ offers an impressive top speed of 141km/h and a promised range of 320km on a single charge. The battery is designed to last up to 15 years, making it reliable for long-term use.
The Roadster X+ is another new highlight. With the upgraded battery, it promises a massive range of 501km. These performance numbers are game-changing for city riding and even long-distance travel.
Price Cuts: More Savings for Indian Buyers
The company has dropped prices on two of its star models:
- The S1 Pro Plus is now available at ₹1,69,999 (down from ₹1,99,999).
- The Roadster X Plus now sells for ₹1,89,999 (earlier ₹2,24,999).
Early buyers before August 17, 2025, can grab an extra ₹10,000 discount. Deliveries will start from September 22, 2025. This makes Ola scooters highly attractive for new buyers.
New S1 Pro Sport with Premium Features
Ola also launched the S1 Pro Sport at an introductory price of ₹1,49,999. It boasts a 16kW motor, a top speed of 152km/h, fast pickup, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) safety tech. Deliveries for this sporty model will begin in January 2026, and bookings are open for ₹999.
MoveOS 6: Smarter, Safer Rides
Alongside these launches, Ola announced MoveOS 6, their latest operating system for EVs. Key features include voice assist, possible integration with AI chatbots, blind-spot monitoring, cruise control, and ride safety alerts.
