Zinara wants diamond jewellery to be an everyday purchase, not a wedding-only one. The Delhi NCR startup has raised Rs 3.61 crore in pre-seed funding to push that idea further.
The round was led by Inflection Point Ventures, with participation from Nine Jewellery, actor Nikita Dutta and other angel investors.
How Zinara will use the funds
Zinara will use the fresh capital to expand its team, step up marketing and strengthen its supply-chain infrastructure. The company is looking to grow its business across India.

That is a standard shopping list for a young brand, but the supply-chain piece matters more in jewellery than in most categories. Lab-grown stones still have to be sourced, graded and set, and a slow supply chain shows up directly in delivery times.

Jewellery meant for daily wear
Zinara was founded by IIT Delhi alumni Harshit Abrol and Sumanyu Vyas. It designs contemporary jewellery with lab-grown diamonds and 18K gold vermeil, which is gold plating over a sterling silver base.
The pitch is simple. Diamond jewellery in India is usually bought for weddings and big occasions. Zinara wants it worn on ordinary days too, at price points that make that possible.
400 designs and Rs 1 crore ARR
The startup runs a digital-first model. It says its portfolio has grown past 400 designs and that it has crossed Rs 1 crore in annual recurring revenue.
Its website advertises lifetime buyback and exchange options, and lifetime free replating for the jewellery it sells. Both are attempts to answer the trust question that holds many first-time buyers back from shopping for diamonds online.
Lab-grown diamonds are made in controlled environments using processes such as high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) and chemical vapour deposition (CVD). They have become a cheaper alternative to mined stones.
What the founders and investors said
Vinay Bansal, co-founder of Inflection Point Ventures, tied the bet to three changes in the Indian market. “Zinara is operating at the intersection of three shifts which is shaping the future of jewellery consumption in India,” he said. He listed them as the rise of the design-conscious consumer and the growing acceptance of lab-grown diamonds. The third, he said, is demand for accessible price points.
Abrol framed the ambition in similar terms. “The next chapter of diamond jewellery in India will be about making it part of everyday life,” the co-founder and chief executive said. Diamond jewellery, he added, should not stay reserved for special occasions.
