Zelio E-Mobility is growing quickly in India’s electric vehicle (EV) market. The company has reported strong financial results, expanded its manufacturing operations, launched new products, and attracted investments from major financial firms. Its growth comes at a time when India’s EV sector is seeing policy changes, rising competition, and increasing consumer interest in electric mobility.
Strong Revenue and Profit Growth in FY26
Zelio E-Mobility delivered impressive financial results for FY26 after its successful SME IPO. The company reported standalone revenue of ₹303.54 crore, up 76.3% compared to the previous year. Its Profit After Tax (PAT) also increased by 75.4% to ₹28.03 crore.
On a consolidated basis, the company recorded revenue of ₹313.68 crore and PAT of ₹28.39 crore. Zelio’s quarterly performance was equally strong, with Q4 net profit rising 80% to ₹16.2 crore.
During the first half of FY26, the company earned ₹134.78 crore in revenue and posted a profit of ₹11.87 crore. These numbers reflect the growing demand for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers across India.
New Leadership and Investor Interest
To lead its next phase of growth, Zelio appointed 26-year-old Chartered Accountant Divyanshu Agarwal as its Chief Executive Officer. He previously worked as Head of UPI Business at Navi Limited.
Investor confidence in the company remains strong. Motilal Oswal Financial Services acquired a 1.65% stake in Zelio for ₹9.8 crore, while Param Capital bought a 6.73% stake.
The company is also focusing on brand awareness. It has planned a marketing investment of ₹2.5 crore and became the official EV Partner of Punjab Kings for IPL 2026.
Zelio has also created a wholly-owned subsidiary called Zelio Auto Components Limited to support future business and manufacturing expansion.
Manufacturing Capacity and Dealership Network Growing
To meet increasing demand, Zelio has expanded its production capacity. A new manufacturing facility in Cuttack, Odisha, can produce 60,000 units annually. With this addition, the company’s total annual production capacity has reached 1.8 lakh units.
The company is also preparing to open a new 39,000-square-foot facility in Coimbatore, which will help strengthen its presence in South India.
At the same time, Zelio plans to increase its dealership network from 400 outlets to 550 outlets, allowing it to reach more customers across the country.
New Electric Vehicles Added to Portfolio
Zelio continues to expand its product lineup. At RideAsia Expo 2026, the company showcased the Tanga Nine+, an electric three-wheeler designed to carry up to eight passengers. The vehicle offers a claimed driving range of 150 kilometres and is expected to be launched in Q2 FY27.
The company also introduced the Tanga Butterfly and Tanga SS e-rickshaws for commercial users. Both models are aimed at drivers looking for affordable and efficient electric transport options.

In the two-wheeler segment, Zelio launched the updated Logix cargo electric scooter, the X-Men+ scooter, and several new models under its Eeva range.
EV Industry Sees New Opportunities and Challenges
India’s EV industry is changing rapidly. The EMPS 2024 scheme has replaced the earlier FAME II programme, reducing subsidy support for electric scooters. As a result, many EV manufacturers are requesting an extension of incentives under the PM E-Drive scheme beyond March 2026.
The government is also encouraging local manufacturing. Under a new Phased Manufacturing Programme, important EV truck components such as battery management systems and vehicle control units will need to be made in India from September 2026.
Meanwhile, competition in the market continues to grow. Global brands like Tesla, Toyota, and VinFast have launched new electric vehicles in India, while domestic players such as Tata Motors, Greaves Electric Mobility, Kinetic Green, Omega Seiki Mobility, and Ultraviolette are also expanding their offerings.
With strong financial growth, expanding production facilities, new vehicle launches, and increasing investor support, Zelio E-Mobility is strengthening its position in India’s fast-growing electric vehicle market. As EV adoption continues to rise, the company appears well placed to benefit from the next phase of growth in the sector.
