India Accelerator (IA) and V S Fortune have come together to launch LeapFWD, a new startup accelerator program aimed at fueling innovation in India’s growing proptech and construction technology sectors. This initiative marks a major step toward transforming how India designs, builds, and manages its infrastructure.

LeapFWD is designed to empower startups developing breakthrough technologies in real estate and construction. The program will support innovative companies working on everything from smart property platforms to automation tools, sustainable building materials, and digital solutions that make construction faster and more efficient. The focus is on helping entrepreneurs bring modern technology into an industry that has long relied on traditional practices.

Driving Innovation in Real Estate and Construction

LeapFWD will run for four months and provide a platform for ten high-potential startups to refine their products, scale their businesses, and connect with investors and industry experts. It offers structured mentorship, business development guidance, and access to a large investor network. A funding pool of around ₹100–150 crore will be available to help selected startups expand their operations and bring their ideas to life.

The program is set to begin in December 2025 and will continue until March 2026. During this time, participating startups will engage in intensive sessions with mentors, industry professionals, and business leaders. The program will conclude with a Demo Day, where startups will present their progress and innovations to investors, real estate developers, and infrastructure firms. This final showcase is expected to open up fresh opportunities for partnerships and funding.

A Leap Toward Smarter Building and Sustainable Growth

India’s construction and real estate sectors are among the largest in the world but have often lagged behind in adopting modern technologies. LeapFWD aims to change that by encouraging startups that introduce data-driven, efficient, and eco-friendly solutions. By promoting smart tools and automation, the program hopes to make the construction process faster, more cost-effective, and environmentally responsible.

Ashish Bhatia, Founder of India Accelerator, highlighted that the initiative represents a major move toward building the cities of tomorrow. He emphasized that proptech and construction tech innovations are at the heart of India’s transformation, as they bring transparency, speed, and sustainability to an industry that touches millions of lives.

Empowering Startups and Strengthening the Ecosystem

For startups, LeapFWD offers more than just funding — it provides a supportive environment to test, improve, and commercialize their products. The collaboration between India Accelerator and V S Fortune brings together deep expertise, valuable connections, and strategic guidance. Startups will gain access to pilot projects with real estate developers, giving them a chance to validate their ideas in real-world settings.

The program also benefits investors and corporates who are seeking credible, technology-driven solutions for ongoing industry challenges. Builders and infrastructure firms often face issues like delays, rising costs, and inefficiency. With the help of proptech and contech startups, these challenges can be addressed using smart systems, predictive analytics, and sustainable construction practices.

Building India’s Future, One Startup at a Time

LeapFWD arrives at the perfect time when India’s infrastructure push is stronger than ever. The country’s smart cities mission, growing housing demand, and sustainability goals create a massive opportunity for innovation. By bridging the gap between technology and construction, this program is set to accelerate the next wave of growth in India’s real estate sector.

The message is clear — the future of construction is digital, green, and data-driven. LeapFWD is not just an accelerator; it’s a movement that empowers startups to build a smarter, stronger, and more sustainable India.
