GrowthPal, an AI-driven platform focused on transforming mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deal sourcing, has raised $2.6 million (around ₹23.5 crore) in a fresh funding round led by Ideaspring Capital, along with participation from global angel investors. The new capital infusion will be used to strengthen product innovation and expand the company’s presence across key international markets as demand rises for data-led, faster M&A execution.

Re-imagining the M&A Deal Sourcing Process

Founded by Maneesh Bhandari, Shalu Mitruka and Amaresh Shirsat, GrowthPal is addressing one of the most time-consuming aspects of the M&A lifecycle — deal sourcing. Traditionally, M&A teams rely on personal networks, investment bankers and manual research, which often restricts access to off-market opportunities and leads to slower execution.

GrowthPal aims to modernise this approach with an AI-first model that brings structure, intelligence and speed to the process. By using artificial intelligence and advanced reasoning models, the platform enables organisations to identify acquisition targets that closely align with their strategic goals while reducing time spent on low-intent or poor-fit opportunities.

According to the company, deal sourcing often becomes the biggest bottleneck in M&A, especially in mid-market transactions where visibility is limited. GrowthPal’s technology is designed to ensure that decision-makers focus on high-quality prospects that are more likely to convert into meaningful discussions.

How the AI-Powered M&A Copilot Works

GrowthPal functions as an intelligent M&A copilot that converts broad strategic objectives into a clear acquisition thesis. Once a mandate is defined, the platform’s AI agents analyse data from over four million technology-led companies worldwide.

It tracks multiple signals such as funding activity, hiring trends, market presence and operational momentum to shortlist potential acquisition targets. This helps companies uncover relevant opportunities, including those that may not be actively seeking buyers or listed through conventional advisory channels.

By automating and refining this early-stage analysis, GrowthPal allows corporate development teams and investors to move faster and with higher confidence, while minimising the manual workload traditionally associated with deal origination.

GrowthPal’s Strong Early Traction Across Global Markets

Despite being a relatively young company, GrowthPal has already demonstrated solid traction. The platform claims to have supported more than 42 completed M&A transactions and enabled over 210 letter-of-intent-stage conversations across regions including North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Its customer base includes large enterprises, mid-sized firms, SaaS companies, fintech startups and private-equity-backed businesses. In one notable case, a client reportedly completed seven acquisitions within 18 months using GrowthPal’s AI-driven insights, highlighting how the platform can accelerate inorganic growth strategies.

The company’s focus on mid-market M&A also fills a critical gap where traditional investment banks may offer limited coverage or prioritise only larger ticket deals.

Plans After the Funding Round

With fresh capital in place, GrowthPal plans to further enhance its AI capabilities and move deeper into downstream M&A workflows. This includes exploring features related to valuation analysis, strategic fit assessment, deal structuring and negotiation support.

The long-term vision is to build a full-stack M&A intelligence platform that supports decision-making across the entire acquisition lifecycle, from discovery to execution.

As more companies globally turn to acquisitions to drive growth and diversification, AI-powered platforms like GrowthPal are expected to play a critical role in making M&A faster, smarter and more outcome-driven, particularly in highly competitive and time-sensitive markets.
