The Birth of Shree Tripada

At just 18 years old, Mayank identified a gap in India’s bulk SMS market. Businesses were seeking affordable communication solutions, but reliable providers were scarce. With a diploma in IT engineering and big dreams, he launched Shree Tripada from a small 150 sq. ft. office in Ahmedabad.

The initial days were challenging. Convincing clients to trust a teenager with their business communication needs was no easy task. Mayank recalls sending hundreds of cold emails and meeting clients personally to win their trust.

Shree Tripada faced numerous hurdles, including cash flow issues and regulatory changes by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). When TRAI restricted promotional SMS for DND users in 2014 and telecom operators raised SMS rates in 2017, Mayank diversified his services to include:

  • AI-powered chatbots
  • RCS messaging

The COVID-19 pandemic brought further challenges as businesses slashed marketing budgets. To adapt, Mayank introduced free support for Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) registration and expanded WhatsApp-based marketing solutions to retain clients.

Today, Shree Tripada is a leading CPaaS provider offering comprehensive communication solutions. Its flagship bulk SMS service contributes to 90% of its revenue, with competitive pricing starting at ₹0.08 per message for large packages. The company also provides unmatched 24/7 customer support and DLT assistance to ensure seamless operations for its clients.

Shree Tripada has served over 35,000 clients across industries, including notable names like Inox, ISKCON, Shalby Hospitals, and the Chhattisgarh Government.

Future Plans

Mayank aims to expand Shree Tripada’s presence in the Middle East and APAC regions while doubling its client base in India. With India’s CPaaS market projected to reach $3.06 billion by 2030, he plans to grow revenue from ₹7 crore to ₹10 crore by FY 2025-26 and strengthen his team with more sales professionals.
