CuePilot AI, an AI-native, voice-first platform built specifically for preschools and daycare centres, has raised $1.8 million in a pre-seed funding round to accelerate product development and global expansion. The round was led by Unilazer Ventures, the venture firm founded by entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala, with participation from Eximius Ventures and Titan Capital.
Founded in 2023 by Ankur Agarwal, Adithya Narayanan, and Manav Kedia, CuePilot AI is focused on reducing the heavy administrative burden faced by early childhood educators. The startup plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its AI capabilities, deepen market-specific integrations, and expand its presence across India and international markets.
Solving a Real Problem in Early Childhood Education
Preschools and daycare centres handle a wide range of daily tasks, including attendance tracking, activity updates, health records, assessments, billing, and parent communication. In many institutions, these processes are still managed through fragmented tools such as spreadsheets, messaging apps, and manual registers. This often leads to inefficiencies and takes valuable time away from teachers who should ideally be focusing on children.
CuePilot AI addresses this challenge with a voice-first approach. Teachers can simply speak short updates about classroom activities, which the platform’s AI converts into structured data. These voice inputs are transformed into academic reports, operational logs, and parent-ready updates, eliminating the need for repetitive manual entry and reducing screen time for educators.
How CuePilot AI’s Platform Works
The platform acts as an all-in-one operating system for preschools and daycare centres. It covers academics, attendance, health tracking, admissions, fee management, and communication with parents. By using artificial intelligence to process and organise information, CuePilot AI claims it can automate a significant portion of routine administrative work.
This allows teachers to spend more time engaging with children, while school administrators gain clearer visibility into daily operations. Parents also benefit from more consistent and timely updates about their child’s activities and progress, improving trust and transparency.
Strong Investor Confidence in the Vision
The participation of seasoned investors highlights growing confidence in CuePilot AI’s model. Investors believe that voice-based AI is particularly well-suited for early education environments, where typing lengthy updates is impractical and time-consuming. By capturing real-time classroom insights through voice, the platform helps create a structured digital record without disrupting the flow of teaching.
According to the investors, CuePilot AI’s approach combines ease of use with powerful backend intelligence, making it a strong fit for preschools that may not have advanced technical infrastructure.
Expansion Plans and Market Opportunity
CuePilot AI currently works with over a hundred early learning institutions across India and parts of Southeast Asia. With the new funding, the company plans to scale its operations further in India, expand into the Middle East, and eventually enter the US market, where spending on early childhood education is significantly higher.
The early childhood education sector is witnessing increased adoption of digital tools, driven by rising expectations from parents and growing competition among schools. CuePilot AI aims to position itself as a key technology partner in this shift by offering a solution that is practical, intuitive, and designed specifically for teachers.
As AI continues to reshape education technology, CuePilot AI’s voice-first platform reflects a broader move towards tools that simplify work rather than add complexity. With fresh capital and a clear growth roadmap, the startup is well-placed to play a meaningful role in modernising preschool and daycare management.
