Coluxe, a recently launched fine jewellery brand specializing in lab-grown diamonds and colourful gemstones, has successfully closed its friends and family funding round. The young label, founded by Priyanka Gill, draws support from notable business leaders and aims to technology-enable a new wave of everyday luxury for the modern Indian.

Prominent Investors Backing Coluxe’s Vision

The latest funding round saw participation from industry icons like Ajai Chowdhry (Co-founder, HCL), Tej Kapoor (Director, ICICI Ventures), Sairee Chahal (Appreciate Capital), Startup Sherpas, Kunal Chowdhry (Apollo Singapore Investments), Rachin Dewan (Rachin Dewan Ventures), and Kunal Milwani (Synage).

This endorsement from seasoned investors signals strong belief in Coluxe’s mission to bring accessible, sustainable, and design-led fine jewellery to Indian consumers.

Driving Change: Lab-Grown Diamonds and Modular Design

Coluxe is positioning itself at the forefront of a generational shift in Indian jewellery consumption habits. Traditionally dominated by gold, India’s $80 billion jewellery industry is rapidly opening its doors to lab-grown diamonds. According to founder Priyanka Gill, only about 6% of gold jewellery buyers in India own even a single diamond piece. Coluxe aims to bridge this gap by offering modular, stackable jewellery made from certified lab-grown diamonds and vibrant gemstones.

“Lab-grown diamonds are unlocking access in a market where only 6% of gold jewellery buyers own a single diamond. At the same time, women are self-purchasing and seeking everyday fine jewellery that reflects their identity, not just tradition.” – Priyanka Gill

Unique Offerings for the Modern Indian

The brand’s modular approach empowers customers to layer, stack, and combine pieces for personalised expressions—ideal for daily wear and self-gifting. Coluxe debuted with a limited-edition Rakhi collection, distributed via WhatsApp commerce, which sold out within the first week—showing the robust demand for contemporary, digital-first jewellery.

What’s Next: Digital Launch and Expanding Collections

The team plans to channel the fresh investment into launching its comprehensive digital storefront in August, which will feature over 300 SKUs across rings, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and signature stacking sets. Future releases will include themed collections around zodiac signs, gifting, manifestation, and classic solitaires.

By leveraging e-commerce and smart digital distribution, Coluxe hopes to make fine jewellery accessible to urban Indian women looking for sustainable luxury that resonates with their unique sense of style.

The Road Ahead for Coluxe

This funding round is a clear indicator of the evolving jewellery landscape in India, where modern values meet traditional craftsmanship. Coluxe is poised to carve a niche for itself, targeting urban Indian consumers with a taste for innovation, versatility, and sustainable luxury.

The upcoming digital expansion and extensive product catalogue reflect Coluxe’s ambition to redefine what fine jewellery means to a new generation of buyers—one stackable piece at a time.
