While this is below the international world record of 596, it is still a commendable achievement on the national level, given that the National Games are not internationally recognized. Vaishnav Shahji Thakur
From Maharashtra, Vaishnav Shahji Thakur has shown exceptional prowess in weightlifting. Competing in the 102 kg category, he lifted an impressive 160 kg, shattering the previous national record and clinching the gold medal. Rohit Benedicton
Rohit Benedicton, a swimmer from Tamil Nadu, displayed his incredible talent in the water by achieving an extraordinary feat in the 50-meter butterfly event. He broke the national record with a time of 24.39 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 24.60 seconds held by Veerthaval Khade. Moreover, she achieved a remarkable clean and jerk lift of 141 kg, surpassing her previous best of 140 kg. Overall, Mehak lifted a total of 247 kg, exceeding her prior record by 3 kg and earning a well-deserved gold medal.
