Rakhi Sawant walked into Rise and Fall 2 as a guest and left with the episode’s most quoted line. The actress defended Priyanka Chahar Choudhary after fellow contestant Shehzad Poonawalla called her a “gold digger” during an argument on the show.
Rakhi did not defend her quietly. She turned the insult around, swapped gold for a cheaper metal, and used the moment to settle the argument in Priyanka’s favour.
What Rakhi said
“You called our Naagin, Ichchhadhari Naagin Priyanka, a gold digger. Why? Why? You said something very wrong. I want an answer to that,” Rakhi told Shehzad on the show.

She then explained what she thought Priyanka really is. “She is absolutely not a gold digger. She is a copper digger. She is a Nagmani digger. She looks for the cheapest things,” she said.

The follow-up was aimed straight back at Shehzad. “What kind of digger are you? Grave digger,” she said. Her appearance, which mixed comic timing with a blunt takedown, became the talking point of the episode.
How the fight started
The clash between Priyanka and Shehzad goes back a few days. During a heated exchange on the reality show, Priyanka called him a “man child”. He responded by calling her a gold digger.
The remark landed hard. Priyanka later broke down while talking to fellow contestant Swara, and said the comment stayed with her all night. She explained that she is the one who supports her family, which is why the label hurt. In a separate moment on the show, she told Shehzad that she would slap him if he repeated it.
Rise and Fall 2 premiered on 26 September and is hosted by former cricketer Virender Sehwag. The format puts contestants in a house where they compete to stay in power. Arguments have become a regular feature of the season.
Where things stand
Rakhi’s defence has added a new layer to the debate on the show. Priyanka has spoken openly about the effect of the remark, while Shehzad has not offered an apology on camera.
