Born on 29th January 1994 in Ahmedabad, Sohum Karmaker spent his formative years between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. He studied at Ryan International School, Panvel, before pursuing higher education in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil School, Belapur. Although his academics were rooted in science, his heart was always drawn to the camera and storytelling. To polish his craft, he joined Choudhary Films in Ahmedabad, where he trained under industry experts such as Pratham Hemchandani, Devraj Singh, Bhavesh Bhatt, and Ghanshyam Dhakar.
