Delhi’s 60-Min Medicine Delivery Repill: Entrepreneur Quits ₹1.5 Cr Job to Save Lives

Imagine needing life-saving medication urgently and being forced to search multiple pharmacies. This common struggle inspired Rajat Gupta, a Delhi-based entrepreneur, to launch Repill, India’s first 60-minute medicine delivery platform. Repill aims to revolutionize healthcare access by ensuring timely delivery of essential medicines, addressing a critical gap in the Indian healthcare system.

How Repill Works

Repill operates much like food delivery apps but focuses on medicines. Users can order prescription and non-prescription drugs via the app. For prescription medicines, users upload their prescriptions, while non-prescription items can be ordered directly.

The platform uses Smart Inventory Matching Technology to scan local pharmacies within a 7–9 km radius for availability. Once confirmed, delivery partners ensure orders reach customers within an hour. Unlike other e-pharmacies relying on centralized warehouses, Repill collaborates with local pharmacies, boosting their business while meeting consumer needs swiftly.

Supporting Local Pharmacies

Rajat Gupta emphasizes that Repill empowers local pharmacies rather than competing with them. The platform integrates neighborhood stores into its network, helping them expand their reach and increase sales. This asset-light model eliminates the need for dark stores and complex logistics, making medicine delivery efficient and scalable.

The Founder’s Journey: From Silicon Valley to Delhi

Rajat Gupta’s journey began in Delhi, where he grew up watching his self-made father work hard to provide a stable life. After studying engineering and earning degrees abroad, he spent eight years in Silicon Valley earning a ₹1.5 crore salary. Despite his success, he returned to India in 2023 to build something impactful.

Inspired by seamless prescription systems abroad, Rajat envisioned a platform to solve India’s medicine accessibility issues. After nearly a year of development with his 12-member team, Repill launched in January 2025.

Early Success and Expansion Plans

Since its launch in South Delhi, Repill has delivered over 400 orders with an average delivery time of 30–40 minutes. The platform has gained traction with rapid app downloads. Expansion plans are underway for Noida, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Mumbai, with ambitions to reach Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where medicine access remains a challenge.

Transforming Healthcare Across India

Repill’s vision extends beyond fast delivery—it aims to create a more equitable healthcare ecosystem by connecting communities with local pharmacies and streamlining prescription management. The platform ensures no Indian faces delays in accessing life-saving medicines.
