The individual detained in connection with the case has been identified as Shariful Islam Shahzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Faqir. Initially, he misled the police regarding his identity, but investigations revealed his true name through a forensic analysis of his mobile phone. Strikingly, it was discovered that he is a Bangladeshi national, raising concerns about cross-border crime as police continue their inquiry.
