The Rise of Divya Bharti

Divya Bharti was a sensation in Bollywood, admired for her enchanting beauty and exceptional acting skills. She made her film debut opposite Sunny Deol in ‘Viswatma’ in 1992, instantly winning hearts. Following her success, she starred alongside Govinda in ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’. It was during the filming of this movie that she first crossed paths with Sajid Nadiadwala. Interestingly, Sajid had visited the set primarily to meet Govinda.

Love at First Sight

At the time of their meeting, Sajid was working on his first independent production, ‘Julm Ki Hukumat’, which featured Govinda as the lead actor. Strikingly, when Sajid arrived on set to greet Govinda, his eyes fell on Divya, and it was love at first sight. From that moment, Sajid found himself visiting the set daily, initiating conversations that blossomed into a deep friendship and eventually, a romantic relationship.

A Secret Marriage

Initially, both kept their relationship under wraps from the public eye. In a surprising turn of events, they got married in 1992, with Divya being just 18 and Sajid 27 at the time. Though they kept their marriage private, Divya had hinted in an interview about making a significant announcement in 1994, but tragically, before she could share it, her life was cut short. On April 5, 1993, she fell from the fifth floor of her building, leading to her untimely demise.
