Establishment of AI City and Cybersecurity Initiatives

As part of its commitment to transform Uttar Pradesh into a technology hub, the government announced the establishment of an “Artificial Intelligence City.” Additionally, a Technology Research Translation Park will be set up to enhance cybersecurity capabilities in the state. These initiatives aim to foster research and innovation in AI and cybersecurity.

Development of Science Cities

With a vision to promote scientific learning, the government allocated ₹25 crores for the establishment of a Science City in Agra and ₹5 crores for a Science City and Astronomical Observatory in Varanasi. Furthermore, there will be an implementation of ICT laboratories and smart classrooms in primary and secondary schools to enhance the learning environment.

Increase in MBBS Seats and Coaching Centers

The budget includes a significant increase of over 1,500 MBBS seats in medical colleges across the state. Moreover, Finance Minister Khanna announced the opening of new Abhyudaya coaching centers close to students’ homes, enabling easier access to resources for preparing for competitive exams like UPPSC and UPSC without the need to travel far.

New Medical Colleges and Digital Libraries

The government has also proposed the opening of two new medical colleges with substantial budget allocations: ₹27 crores for an autonomous medical college in Ballia and ₹25 crores for one in Balrampur. Additional provisions in the budget include the establishment of ICT labs and smart classes in schools, alongside the introduction of digital libraries in polytechnics, enhancing educational resources across the board.
