In an effort to enhance the education of tribal children across India, the government is set to establish 728 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS). Initiated in 2018-19, this initiative aims to provide quality education on par with Navodaya Vidyalayas for tribal students. This program will see the creation of 440 new schools while upgrading 288 existing ones, aiming to bolster the educational landscape in tribal regions.

Additionally, DTH channels will provide educational content from NCERT in regional languages for remote students.
