Anil Kumar, a young engineer from the small town of Jewar in Uttar Pradesh, has turned his childhood dream into reality. Starting from his home in Delhi, he founded CyberCube Services Private Limited in 2018. Today, the company serves over 800 clients globally and generated revenue of ₹25 crore in the last financial year. CyberCube has grown into a leading cybersecurity solutions provider based in Gurugram, Haryana.

From Humble Beginnings to Entrepreneurial Success

Anil’s journey began with a passion for computers and information technology. After completing his engineering degree and MBA, he worked as an IT and cybersecurity consultant. In 2018, at the age of 28, he left his well-paying job to start CyberCube from home, targeting a gap in India’s cybersecurity market.

The initial days were tough. Anil worked alone, secured clients through his network, and managed everything on a tight budget. Despite self-doubt and financial challenges, he pushed forward. By 2019, the startup had a small office in Delhi and a handful of clients and employees. Revenue for the first year was ₹15 lakhs.

Navigating the Pandemic and Going Global

The COVID-19 pandemic was a turning point. With clients delaying payments, CyberCube faced serious cash flow issues. Anil used personal savings to keep the business afloat and preserved employee salaries. This challenge pushed the startup to pivot towards international markets.

The demand for cybersecurity soared globally during the pandemic. CyberCube expanded overseas, gaining clients like Bata, Body Shop, Airtel, Air India, and MakeMyTrip. The company now operates subsidiaries in the USA and UAE and employs over 100 people in its spacious Gurugram office.

Comprehensive Cybersecurity Services and Products

CyberCube offers a wide range of services including information security audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance consulting for standards like PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. It supports industries such as fintech, banking, insurance, and government.

The company also develops in-house products. Xzlenz automates compliance tracking for PCI DSS, SOC, and ISO standards, while Scanbit is an AI-powered tool that scans for card data to ensure PCI compliance.

A Growth Story Fueled by Vision and Resilience

CyberCube has grown rapidly, doubling revenue year over year. From ₹10 crore in FY 2023-24 to ₹25 crore in FY 2024-25, the target for the current year is ₹50 crore. The company remains bootstrapped but is open to strategic investment to fuel further growth, especially in international markets.

Sixty percent of business comes from India, with the rest from the US, UAE, and other countries. PCI certification services drive the majority of revenue.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Reach and Services

CyberCube plans to expand across India and globally, setting up more offices and teams. New focus areas include Operational Technology (OT) security and managed security services. The startup aims to be a one-stop cybersecurity solution provider, trusted worldwide.

Anil’s inspiring journey shows that determination, clear vision, and hard work can transform a small-town dream into a global business. CyberCube stands as a shining example of India’s booming tech startup ecosystem.
