Bengaluru-based networking platform Medial is making waves in India’s startup ecosystem. The young company is now in advanced talks to raise $4–5 million in its Series A round, with participation from existing backer OG Capital and two major venture capital firms. This fresh funding aims to supercharge Medial’s mission to become the go-to online community for founders, investors, and professionals.

What Makes Medial Stand Out?

Founded in 2023 by Niket Raj Dwivedi, Aishwarya Raj Pandey, Harsh Dwivedi, and Prateek Kaien, Medial is solving a common pain point for Indian professionals: fragmented networking platforms. Medial brings everything into one place-networking, startup news, industry updates, and peer feedback-helping users save time and build meaningful connections.

Medial’s platform is designed for high-signal engagement, focusing on community-driven conversations instead of content overload. The startup offers a curated news feed, a social discussion space, and a Startup Showcase where users can pitch ideas and get real feedback-all in one app.

Strong Traction and Premium Model Success

Since its launch, Medial has grown rapidly. The platform now boasts over 2.5 lakh users and has seen a 10X jump in user base and a 6X rise in engagement time in just the last year. After a successful appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4, where it secured funding from OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal, Medial launched a premium membership model.

Premium members get access to exclusive features like a live VC tracker, grants list, accelerator and incubator directory, premium content, and a job portal. The resubscription rate for premium plans is an impressive 65–70%, putting Medial among global leaders in subscription retention.

Profitability in Sight

OG Capital is doubling down on its investment, confident that Medial is on track for profitability within the next 12 months. The startup is targeting March 2026 to become profitable at scale.

India’s Social Networking Boom

Medial is part of a new wave of Indian social platforms, joining names like Grapevine and Hood. With India’s social media sector expected to grow rapidly in the coming years, Medial’s integrated, community-first approach is well-timed for the country’s digital growth.

The Road Ahead

With its Series A round on the horizon, Medial is set to expand its reach, enhance its technology, and further strengthen India’s startup community. For founders, operators, and professionals, Medial is fast becoming the place to connect, collaborate, and grow.
