Gurugram-based D2C nutrition startup BeastLife has raised ₹20 crore in a pre-Series A funding round, with a post-money valuation of ₹320 crore. GVFL and Equentis led the round, signalling strong investor confidence in India’s rapidly growing health and wellness segment.

The funding comes when demand for fitness and nutrition products is rising sharply across the urban India, driven by increasing health-awareness and gym culture. The BeastLife has managed to carve out a path as a digitally-first brand that shows promise in a competitive sports nutrition market.

Expansion Plans Across Online and Offline Channels

The company plans to utilise the fresh capital to strengthen its team, scale operations and enhance its supply chain capabilities. A key focus area will be on expanding its presence beyond the digital platforms.

While continuing to expand in e-commerce and quick commerce, BeastLife is also preparing for a phased offline retail expansion starting with select regions.

This omnichannel approach would mean that the brand is capable of reaching out to a wider base of customers, and making the brand easier to access for consumers in varying markets across India.

Founders and Product Portfolio

BeastLife was founded in 2024 by Gaurav Taneja and Raj Vikram Gupta and sells various sports nutrition products like protein powders, creatine, and mass gainers.

The startup has built brand awareness and has online sales in mind by leveraging Taneja’s strong digital presence. At present, its products are sold through its website as well as through major online marketplaces.

Profitability and Future Growth Targets

Unlike many early-stage D2C startups, BeastLife is reportedly net profitable and on track to achieve around ₹100 crore revenues by FY26.

Looking ahead, the company aims to scale aggressively while maintaining profitability, with a long term target of reaching ₹500 crore revenues over the next few years.

Riding India’s Wellness Boom

This fundraising puts a spotlight on the investors that are increasingly more interested in the health and nutrition space of India where D2C brands are gathering momentum.

With increasing consumer focus on preventive health, fitness and startups like BeastLife are well leveled in capitalizing on this trend.

As the competition becomes more intense in the segment, the fact that BeastLife is already profitable, backed by strong branding, and has a plan for expansion could drive them to emerge as a key player in the changing India D2C ecosystem for nutrition (ibid).
