Indian astrology platform AstroTalk is growing far beyond online astrology consultations as it prepares for a possible IPO and a billion-dollar valuation. The company, which already leads India’s online astrology market, is now focusing on spiritual shopping, offline stores, and global expansion to strengthen its business.
Over the last few years, AstroTalk has become one of India’s fastest-growing internet startups. The platform currently controls nearly 80% to 85% of the online astrology market in the country and has seen massive growth in both revenue and profits.
In FY24, AstroTalk reported operating revenue of around ₹651 crore and net profit close to ₹100 crore. The company grew even faster in FY25, when total revenue jumped by nearly 85% to ₹1,214 crore. Out of this, ₹1,176 crore came directly from operations. Adjusted Profit Before Tax (PBT) also increased sharply by 125% to ₹285 crore, while overall net profit reached around ₹250 crore.
At the same time, the company’s total expenses crossed ₹1,129 crore in FY25. This included some one-time employee-related costs and accounting adjustments. Even with rising expenses, AstroTalk continues to maintain healthy profitability with EBITDA margins between 18% and 20%.
The Gurugram-based startup is now aiming for revenue of ₹1,800 crore to ₹2,000 crore by FY26, showing strong confidence in the growing demand for astrology and spiritual services both in India and abroad.

IPO Plans and Billion-Dollar Valuation
AstroTalk is now preparing for its next big step — becoming a unicorn and eventually entering the stock market. The company is reportedly in talks to raise between $50 million and $100 million in fresh funding. This new round could value the startup between $1.3 billion and $1.5 billion.
The fundraising round is expected to be AstroTalk’s final major investment before filing its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP). According to reports, the company may file IPO papers by mid-2026 and target a market listing by late 2026 or early 2027.
Earlier, AstroTalk had already raised around $34 million from investors. This included a $14 million funding round in June 2024 backed by firms like Left Lane Capital and Elev8 Venture Partners.
To support its IPO journey and financial planning, AstroTalk recently appointed Deepak Khetan as Chief Financial Officer. He has previously worked with companies such as GlobalBees and Edelweiss.
At a time when many startups are still struggling to make profits, AstroTalk’s strong earnings have become one of its biggest strengths.
AstroTalk Store, Offline Expansion and Global Growth
To reduce dependence on astrology consultations alone, AstroTalk launched its e-commerce business called AstroTalk Store in November 2024. The company wants to build a larger spiritual commerce business by selling products linked to astrology and faith.
The store started with a small investment of around ₹30 lakh and later received another ₹40 crore for expansion. In 2025, the business generated over ₹140 crore in revenue and currently runs at an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of more than ₹200 crore.
AstroTalk Store processed nearly 1.6 million orders in 2025 and recorded a repeat purchase rate of around 24%. The platform currently sells more than 300 products including gemstones, rudrakshas, healing crystals, and puja items. The company plans to add another 500 products by FY27.
AstroTalk is also entering offline retail. The company plans to open two experience centres in the Delhi-NCR region this year before expanding into spiritual cities like Ayodhya. These centres will offer face-to-face consultations with astrologers, tarot readers, and palmists while also selling spiritual products.
The platform now has around 8 crore registered users, including nearly 2 crore paying customers. Women make up almost 65% of its user base. AstroTalk also earns nearly 30% of its consultation revenue from international markets like the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, mainly from the Indian diaspora.
Even as AI becomes popular across industries, AstroTalk says it wants to keep the “human touch” at the centre of its business. The company currently uses AI mainly for backend tasks such as generating kundlis, matching users with astrologers, and filtering abusive chats.
AstroTalk’s rapid growth has also created competition in the industry. Rival platform InstaAstro had earlier filed a complaint against the company over astrologer hiring practices. However, the Competition Commission of India dismissed the allegations, saying astrologers are free to move to better-paying platforms.
With strong profits, expanding business verticals, and IPO plans moving ahead, AstroTalk is now positioning itself as more than just an astrology app. The company is trying to build a full-scale spiritual commerce brand for India and global markets.
