She holds multiple degrees, including Sangeet Bhusan, Sangeet Prabhakar, and Sangeet Alankar in Tabla and Vocal Music, and a Ph.D. on the subject of “Hadoti Ki Lok Gathavo Ki Gayan Parampara.” She is currently a Professor in the Music Department at Govt. Girls’ P.G. College of Excellence, Ujjain, and a recognized guide for Ph.D. research work in music.

Over the years, Dr. Varsha has been honored with numerous prestigious awards for her outstanding contributions. In 2019, she was recognized on an international platform with the Antarrashtriya Sangeet Shiromani Samman in Canada.
