CREDAI CSR Foundation has supported the training of more than 200 construction workers at DAC Prospera and DAC Harmony, projects developed by DAC Developers Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai. The initiative focuses on improving workers’ skills, strengthening safety awareness and promoting better practices at construction sites.

The programme is part of CREDAI CSR Foundation’s pan-India efforts to enhance construction-worker capabilities and encourage safer working environments across development projects. By conducting training at active construction sites, the initiative helps workers gain practical knowledge, identify workplace hazards and understand essential safety procedures.

The Chennai programme brings together CREDAI CSR Foundation, DAC Developers Pvt. Ltd., a member of CREDAI, and Kivisory Skills Pvt. Ltd., the training implementation partner. The collaboration highlights the role of industry partnerships in developing a skilled, safety-conscious and job-ready construction workforce.

DAC Developers Reaffirms Commitment to Workforce Safety

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Vijay Kumar, Vice President of DAC Developers Pvt. Ltd., emphasised the importance of skill development and safety training in the construction industry.

“Skill development and safety training are essential to building a responsible, efficient and safety-conscious construction workforce. The programme at DAC Prospera, supported by CREDAI CSR Foundation, reinforces safe working practices and strengthens workers’ on-site competencies. We appreciate this collaborative effort towards improving workforce capabilities and promoting safer construction sites,” he said.

The initiative reflects the importance of equipping construction workers with the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out their responsibilities safely. Regular training can also help workers better understand potential risks and follow appropriate procedures during construction activities.

Kivisory Skills Drives Practical, Site-Based Training

Kivisory Skills Pvt. Ltd. serves as the training implementation partner for CREDAI CSR Foundation’s pan-India skill development and construction safety initiatives. The organisation delivers on-site training designed to connect industry requirements with workers’ practical capabilities.

By conducting sessions in real construction environments, the programme helps workers relate safety principles to their everyday tasks. This approach also encourages greater awareness of workplace hazards and the importance of following established safety procedures.

Mr. Vineet Yati, Managing Director of Kivisory Skills Pvt. Ltd., said that practical training plays an important role in building a stronger construction industry.

“Skill development and safety are vital to a stronger construction industry. The site-based approach enables workers to relate training to their daily responsibilities, understand potential workplace hazards and strengthen their familiarity with appropriate safety procedures. Such interventions are important in an industry where workforce preparedness, hazard recognition and adherence to safety protocols play a critical role in responsible project execution,” he said.

The emphasis on site-based learning helps workers understand how safety practices apply to actual construction activities. It also supports the broader objective of improving workforce readiness through training that reflects the industry’s operational requirements.

CREDAI CSR Foundation Advances Construction-Worker Development Across India

CREDAI CSR Foundation works to promote construction-worker welfare through skill development and wider social impact initiatives. By engaging with member developers, the foundation supports training and related interventions at construction sites, helping align workforce development with the practical needs of the sector.

The programme at DAC Prospera and DAC Harmony demonstrates how collaboration between a CSR foundation, a developer and a specialised training partner can support worker development at the project level. The participation of more than 200 workers highlights the reach of the Chennai initiative.

As India’s construction industry continues to expand, improving workforce skills and strengthening safety awareness remain important priorities. Construction workers need practical training to understand workplace risks, follow safety procedures and meet the evolving requirements of the industry.

Through its pan-India initiatives, CREDAI CSR Foundation continues to support construction-worker development and promote a stronger culture of workplace safety. The Chennai programme reflects the role that coordinated industry efforts can play in building a more skilled, prepared and safety-conscious construction workforce.
