In an exclusive conversation with Happen Recently Media, we caught up with Abhay Pratap Verma, a fresh face making waves in the entertainment world with his upcoming big-platform Bollywood movie. With no godfather in the film industry and a dream rooted in a small town, Abhay’s journey is a true testament to talent, perseverance, and self-belief.
Early Life and Education
Hailing from Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, Abhay’s academic journey began at Children’s Academy, where he studied from Class 1 to 8. He then moved to the renowned Resonance, Kota for Classes 9 and 10, and later completed his Class 11 and 12 at Ajmani International School, also in Lakhimpur Kheri.
Currently, Abhay is pursuing his graduation in Fashion Designing at Amity University, Noida, with his degree expected to be completed by 2027.
Stepping into the Limelight
Abhay has recently signed his debut film as the lead actor on a major OTT and cinema platform. Titled under wraps due to contractual obligations, the project is already in production. “The shoot has started in Delhi, and we’ll soon be filming in Mumbai and Paris,” he shared with a bright smile.
His character in the movie is named Abhin, and though details are limited for now, Abhay promises something impactful. “This role is a dream come true,” he says. “I auditioned more than 20 times and went through multiple look tests before I finally landed the role.”
Modeling Career
Before making his cinematic debut, Abhay worked as a model for prominent online platforms such as Amazon, Meesho, and Myntra. His fashion background and natural screen presence helped him gain early recognition in the modeling industry.
A Dreamer With No Connections
Abhay’s story stands out in a time when many newcomers come from film backgrounds. “I had no contacts, no mentor in the industry. Just a dream,” he says. “I’ve worked hard, alone, and now I’m here, playing the lead in a Bollywood film.”
Balancing college and a demanding shoot schedule isn’t easy. “My day starts with classes at Amity, then I head straight to the set. I barely get time to sleep, but I’m giving it my all,” he says.

Abhay regularly shares updates from his shoot schedule and behind-the-scenes (BTS) moments on his social media handles. From candid moments on set to sneak peeks of intense rehearsals, his followers on Instagram and Twitter are getting a raw and real-time glimpse into his Bollywood journey.
“I love keeping my audience in the loop. Whether it’s a shoot update or a little BTS fun, I post regularly so they feel part of my story.”
A Family Man at Heart
Abhay comes from a humble and loving family. His father, Bhanu Pratap Verma, and mother, Beena Verma, have always supported him. He credits his values and perseverance to the upbringing by his grandfather, Jagdish Prasad Verma.
Message to Aspiring Dreamers
When asked about his message to the youth, Abhay’s words were deeply heartfelt:
“Dream big. Never think your background or financial condition can stop you. I’m from a middle-class family. I’ve had no shortcuts—only sleepless nights and tireless auditions. But dreams do come true. Just believe, and never give up.”
As we wrapped up our conversation, Abhay left us with one striking line that perfectly sums up his journey:
“Main gira tha, chhupa nahi… Sapna tha, toh ruka nahi.”
(I fell, but I didn’t hide… It was a dream, so I didn’t stop.)
Abhay is certainly a name to watch out for. While much about his debut film is still under wraps, one thing is clear — his story is just beginning.
