
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that the Creta has become the best-selling car in India as of March 2025, with a total sales figure of 18,059 units. The Creta continues to dominate the SUV segment, having sold an impressive 52,898 units in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (January to March). Analyzing sales data by variant, it’s clear that consumers are gravitating towards models with premium features. Notably, variants equipped with sunroofs accounted for 69% of total sales, while connected features contributed 38%. Furthermore, in the previous financial year, 24% of buyers opted for Creta’s top-tier models. The electric version of the Creta also saw significant traction, accounting for 71% of sales in its segment, indicating a strong interest in greener alternatives among consumers.
Pricing of the Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta is competitively priced between ₹11.11 lakh and ₹20.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric version of the Creta ranges from ₹17.99 lakh to ₹24.38 lakh (ex-showroom). The Creta is available in three engine options, including a naturally aspirated petrol engine, a turbocharged engine, and a diesel engine, all with a capacity of 1.5 liters. In the Indian market, the Creta competes directly with models such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Tata Curvv, establishing itself as a formidable contender in the SUV space.
