KhiladiPro, a Bengaluru-based sports tech startup, is on a mission to help Indian school kids fall in love with fitness. The startup wants to make sure every child, from big cities to small towns, gets a fair chance to play, grow stronger, and discover their hidden sports talent.
India has millions of school-going kids, yet many don’t get proper access to sports training. KhiladiPro is changing that story by bringing easy-to-use technology to classrooms and playgrounds.
A Smart App That Acts Like a Coach
KhiladiPro’s founders — Utkarsh Yadav, Akash Khunt, Nirav Shah, and David Gladson — are athletes themselves. They know the struggles of finding good sports facilities in school. That’s why they built a mobile app that helps children track their physical abilities in real time.
The app measures agility, balance, and strength using the Khiladi Ability Index (KAI), India’s first AI-powered “movement intelligence” system. It works even without the internet and doesn’t need costly gadgets or wearables. Just a smartphone is enough.
Reaching Thousands of Students Already
The startup has already partnered with more than 50 schools across India, including top names like DPS and Jaipuria Schools. Over 20,000 kids have taken their fitness assessments so far, and another 1.5 lakh tests are lined up.
The company raised $1 million in funding from MGA Ventures and Shastra VC earlier this year to expand its reach. Its goal is to complete 2 lakh student assessments by the end of 2025.
To support young talent, KhiladiPro also runs the Khiladi Klub, a special program that offers scholarships worth ₹1 lakh each year. This covers training, gear, and nutrition for promising kids aged 13 to 15.
Making Fitness Fun for Everyone
KhiladiPro’s biggest win is that it makes sports easy and fun. Kids can check how fast they run, how strong they are, and how much they improve — just like getting grades in school.
Schools can use this data to plan better sports programs. Parents can finally see where their child shines and where they can improve. And all this happens without fancy playgrounds or costly coaches.
The challenge now is to reach every corner of India. KhiladiPro wants to ensure that even rural schools have access to fitness tools and guidance. The startup also plans to expand overseas, starting with pilot programs in Australia and the UAE.
Sports is not just a subject — it’s a way of life. KhiladiPro is proving that every child deserves a chance to play, learn, and dream big.
