This is prominently showcased at the ‘Auto Expo 2025’, starting on January 17, a pivotal event for the Indian mobility ecosystem. Leading up to the expo, IESA has planned two significant programs: the 4th India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Summit on January 15-16, offering insights into manufacturing processes and supply chains, and the India Battery Recycling and Reuse Summit on January 18, focused on sustainable practices in battery lifecycle management. Additionally, on January 21, two sessions related to the battery business will take place at Bharat Mandapam, enriching the dialogue on battery-centric innovations.

India’s Charging Infrastructure Development

The Indian government, under its ‘PM e-Drive’ initiative, has significantly boosted the EV charging infrastructure by allocating ₹2,000 crores for fast charging solutions. Currently, the country boasts approximately 20,000 public EV charging stations catering to two-wheelers, e-rickshaws, and electric cars, laying a solid foundation for the expected EV revolution.
