The Creta EV is set to make its debut at the upcoming India Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17, where it will captivate potential buyers with its advanced features and exciting performance specifications.

Hyundai Creta EV: Design and Features

The Hyundai Creta EV boasts a striking design that mirrors the already popular fuel-based Creta. Its exterior has been refreshed with a new bumper and aerodynamic alloy wheels to enhance not just aesthetics but also performance. The interior features pixel-themed inserts that give it a premium look reminiscent of the Ioniq 5, further enhancing the vehicle’s modern aesthetic.

Interior Features

Inside, the new Creta EV is equipped with a steering wheel that aligns with the design found in the Kona EV. Notable tech features include a 10.25-inch screen for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera. Moreover, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) provide additional safety and convenience for drivers.

Hyundai Creta EV: Battery Options and Range

The Hyundai Creta EV is available with two battery pack options: a robust 51.3kWh battery and a slightly smaller 42kWh battery. The 51.3kWh variant offers an impressive range of up to 473 kilometers on a single charge, making it an excellent choice for those with longer commutes. Conversely, the 42kWh battery pack caters to urban drivers with a still-impressive range of 390 kilometers, ensuring utility across various driving needs.

The Creta EV can be conveniently booked via Hyundai’s official website or at local dealerships, requiring only a token amount of ₹25,000 to secure your vehicle.

Hyundai Creta EV: Performance and Charging

The Creta EV, powered by the 51.3kWh battery, can achieve a remarkable charging speed, reaching 80% in just 58 minutes using a 60kW DC fast charger. If you opt for the AC wall box unit, a full charge from 0% to 100% takes about 4 hours, making home charging feasible and convenient.

In terms of speed, the Creta EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 7.9 seconds, offering sporty performance typical of electric vehicles. In the Indian market, the Creta EV faces competition from other electric SUVs like the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Maruti e-Vitara, and Mahindra BE 6, solidifying its position in the growing electric vehicle segment.
